Six String

Flying V GuitarThis is a picture that I took one Saturday night out. We were at this placed called "Outpost", with the regular booze, food, music, and of course my camera. Lucky for us there was Cynthia Alexander playing, so everyone was looking forward to the main event.

This guitar is basically a flying V electric guitar. It is pretty common to the rock bands of the 70's and 80's. I've always dreamed of having one of these, maybe a black one, or like this wooden finish, or the white one like KISS is using. Its a pertty slick guitar, perfect for stage performance, perfect for rock and roll.

Taking this photo was a quick one for me, didn't really think much about having a good composition there as I was  boozing my way through the night. But I like this picture anyway. I took this with my DSLR, using 1600 iso, f-stop of 1.8, and I forgotu about the white balance.

It was fun taking this, and I missed taking photos. I will probably include that in this weeks itenerary.

Shout Out to Harris Fellman ? ?Don?t Do That!?
by Antone Roundy
2 Sep 2010 at 10:03am
Harris Fellman picked the wrong day to bug me — I’m in a bit of a ranty mood (hmm, my spellchecker doesn’t like the word “ranty”. I’ve got a few choice words for that spell checker! Just kidding.) This morning, I got an email from Harris promoting somebody else’s webinar. I clicked a URL in the [...]

by Antone Roundy
1 Sep 2010 at 10:32pm
You’ve seen it before, even if you didn’t know it. The sales page screams “Buy now! Only 100 23 copies left!” Then you come back a month later and it still says “Buy now! Only 100 23 copies left!” Either the product ain’t selling or somebody’s lying. One of the latest big sellers on ClickBank is [...]

I just posted the results of an analysis of refund rates for 6,764 ClickBank products over on Instant Affiliate Accelerator blog. The results? The vast majority have very low refund rates. But there are plenty that affiliates should avoid (lest they damage their reputations by recommending poor products that customers end up returning). Here’s a chart [...]

How to Use an RSS Reader to Save Time & Become a Power-Tweeter
by Antone Roundy
17 Jun 2010 at 5:21pm
If you follow me on Twitter, you may have noticed that I tweet more than I used to. No, you won’t find out more about my breakfast habits or what color socks I’m wearing — most of the increase comes from sharing more links to useful stuff I come across. I’m still not anywhere near the [...]
Marketing in a Recession
by Antone Roundy
7 Jun 2010 at 3:29pm
I’ve been thinking on and off for, oh, about the past two and a half years about how to sell differently during a recession. Here are a few thoughts: Sell to people whose spending isn’t affected by the recession. Not everybody hurts during a recession. A lot of people make less money, but some people make the [...]

by Antone Roundy
6 May 2010 at 1:27pm
You know the old saying, “what you can’t see can’t hurt you.” Wishful thinking. In internet marketing, what you can’t see may be the only thing hurting you. Have you ever built an awesome squeeze page — great headline, great copy, great free gift for subscribing, great design — driven a bunch of traffic to it… …and [...]

This is an interesting product, and a very useful gift to your friends who are tends to always keep schedule, never miss a thing, and has time to look at their schedule itself.  Most importantly to those who forget about important days.

I don’t really see much use for this, but it seems a pretty cool thing to have on your desk.

 Chalk Chess

Chalk Chess

Here’s one for those who are chess gurus. It may take some to draw the chessboard that you are going to play with, but at least there is no need to bring you’re a large board, or look for one of those tables that have them.

 Drumstick Pencil

Drumstick Pencil

The last, but not the least, is a drumstick pencil. This one is definitely one thing I’d like to have. I recall being in a kid, I used to play with my pencils or pens like a drumstick, and I even try to spin them on my fingers.  This one just made it even better.

What is radial blur?

radial blur sample 1

What is radial blur, and how to do it?

For those who are not familiar, the term “Radial Blur” refers to the blur that is seen on photos that are in circular or rotating motion. This has been an effect applied by many using image editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop. However, what I am about to show you is radial blur using nothing but your camera (and its sling).
